Ohio State football: Braxton Miller has high expectations for Dwayne Haskins

Ohio State football will enter the 2018 season with high expectations, as usual.

Perhaps higher than usual for a team breaking in a new starting quarterback, but that is because Dwayne Haskins is widely believed to be no average quarterback.

Add Braxton Miller to the believers Urban Meyer’s offense will be in good hands this fall.

"I told him that one day he's going to win the Heisman," the former Ohio State quarterback told LettermenRow.com on Sunday. "I've known Dwayne for two years now. Man, he's dope, he's nice."

Of course it makes sense for an alumnus to be excited about the next guy in line at old alma mater, but Miller has some extra insight.

Aside from being a former star quarterback himself at Ohio State, the Springfield native who starred at Wayne High School has worked out with Haskins.

The two-time Big Ten MVP QB-turned-NFL-receiver has not only seen but experienced first-hand the powerful arm many believe will make Haskins a star.

Haskins and the Buckeyes begin preseason practice later this month.

They start the season Sept. 1 against Oregon State, and at least one projection has them as the No. 1 team in the country.

Miller is entering his third season in the NFL. He had 19 catches for 162 yards and a touchdown last season after making 15 catches for 99 yards and a touchdown as a rookie in 2016.
