Ohio State is No. 5 in the preseason Associated Press football writers poll.

Defending national champion Clemson is No. 1 followed by Alabama, Georgia and Oklahoma.

LSU is sixth with Michigan No. 7.

Florida, Notre Dame and Texas round out the top 10.

Ohio State is also No. 5 in the preseason coaches’ poll from USA Today.
