The Ohio State Buckeyes landed a verbal commitment from one of the top quarterbacks in the class of 2020 on Sunday.

Jack Miller, a 6-foot-4, 210-pound junior at Chaparral High School in Scottsdale, Ariz., announced his decision on Twitter. He ranks third among pro-style quarterbacks in his class, according to 247Sports.com, and he’s the 47th-ranked player overall.

Miller attended the Friday Night Lights event for recruits at Ohio State in June 22. He had scholarship offers from a number of schools, including Alabama, Auburn and LSU.

Ohio State now has four commitments in the 2020 class: Paris Johnson Jr., an offensive tackle from Cincinnati St. Xavier; Jake Wray, an offensive tackle from Marietta, Ga.; and Lejond Cavazos, a cornerback from IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla.

Miller is the second quarterback to pick the Buckeyes in recent days. A 2019 recruit, Dwan Mathis, of Oak Park, Mich., flipped his commitment from Michigan State to Ohio State on June 24.
