Alison Bales, left, is hooded by her mother, Mary McCarthy, M.D., FACS, during the Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine graduation ceremony on May 26 at the Victoria Theatre in Dayton. During the hooding ceremony, graduates received traditional regalia denoting their status and profession.
