Super Bowl XXIII – Denver Broncos 34, Atlanta Falcons 19

Denver quarterback John Elway threw for 336 yards and a touchdown and ran for another score in the final game of his career.

At age 38, Elway became the oldest player to win the Super Bowl MVP award as he led the Broncos to their second consecutive championship.

Elway’s touchdown pass was an 80-yarder to Rod Smith that gave Denver a 17-3 lead in the second quarter. It is still tied for the third longest pass in Super Bowl history.
