Today in Super Bowl history (Jan. 26)

There have been four Super Bowls played on today’s date.

Do you remember these games?

January 26, 1986

Super Bowl XX – Chicago Bears 46, New England Patriots 10

Led by their revolutionary 46 defense, the Bears set Super Bowl records for sacks (seven), fewest rushing yards allowed (7) and margin of victory (36).

Chicago scored four rushing touchdowns in the game, including one by defensive tackle William “The Refrigerator” Perry, but none were by legendary, future Hall of Famer Walter Payton.

The Bears finished 18-1 to tie the NFL record for wins in a season, which was set the previous year by the San Francisco 49ers.
