Super Bowl XV – Oakland Raiders 27, Philadelphia Eagles 10

Played five days after the Iran hostage crisis ended, Super Bowl XV had a patriotic flair with the Louisiana Superdome wrapped in a giant yellow ribbon.

Oakland quarterback Jim Plunkett threw two of this three touchdown passes in the first quarter to spark the upset that made the Raiders the first wild card team to win the Super Bowl.
