The temperature rose. The crowd grew. The Cincinnati Reds still suffered the same fate.

One day after overcoming a 3-0 deficit only to lose 4-3 in front of the smallest crowd in Great American Ball Park history (7,799), the Reds overcame an early deficit only to lose 4-3 again on Tuesday in front of 10,195 fans.

With the score tied 1-1, Orlando Arcia hit a three-run home run in the sixth inning for the Brewers (5-1).

The Reds are off to a 1-3 start for the second straight season. They haven’t had a lead in a game since Opening Day on Thursday when they beat the Pirates 5-3.

Anthony DeSclafani made his first start of the season for the Reds and allowed one earned run on three hits in five innings.

The Brewers took a 1-0 lead in the third. Lorenzo Cain scored on a two-out single by Jesus Aguilar.

Brewers starter Jhoulys Chacin pitched three perfect innings before running into trouble in the fourth. Joey Votto started the rally with a walk. Yasiel Puig singled. Eugenio Suarez followed with a double, scoring Votto and tying the score.

Zach Duke relieved DeSclafani in the sixth and left the game with two runners on base and two outs. Michael Lorenzen replaced him and gave up a three-run home run to the first batter he faced, Arcia.

The Reds scored their second run in the sixth. A groundout by Scott Schebler scored Joey Votto. Eugenio Suarez hit a home run in the eighth to cut Milwaukee’s lead to 4-3.

NOTES: Matt Kemp struck out in a pinch-hit appearance. He's 0-for-8 this season. … Scott Schebler went 0-for-4. He's 0-for-14. … Jesse Winker went 0-for-4. He's 0-for-9.
