» INDIA COVERAGE: Excited to sign | Has versatility to play multiple positions
After signing with the Reds in June, India started his season with the Greeneville Reds, a rookie-level team in the Appalachian League. He hit .261 with three home runs and 12 RBIs in 14 games.
The Reds promoted India to Billings, Mont., last week. He went 2-for-8 in three games. He joins 2017 first-round pick, Hunter Greene, on the Dragons roster. In 17 minor-league games, India has played third base 12 times and shortstop five times.
The Dragons are 49-55. They’re 18-18 in the second half and in second place in the Midwest League Eastern Division. They trail Bowling Green by three games.
