According to a report by Ken Rosenthal, of The Athletic, X-rays were negative. On Tuesday, the Reds announced Senzel has a sprained ankle, and he will wear a protective boot for seven to 14 days.

The Reds reassigned Senzel to minor league camp last week so he could continue to work on learning to play center field.

“He did everything he possibly could. He showed us he had the ability to play center field,” manager David Bell said. “In the end we had to remember that he had never played a regular season game in the outfield. He will go to Triple A and continue the work. The good news is when he does come up … he will be that much more prepared. He’s close.”
