Here’s how the news played out on social media:
The #Reds have acquired LHP Alex Wood, OF Matt Kemp, OF Yasiel Puig, IF/C Kyle Farmer and cash from the Dodgers in exchange for RHP Homer Bailey and minor leaguers IF Jeter Downs and RHP Josiah Gray. pic.twitter.com/IjJusbl0Ud

Congrats to us loyal blinded and diehard @Reds fans. Ballclub finally took a step in a positive direction today. Pitchers and catchers in how many days? Less than 2 months. Doesn’t take much to get me excited about my RedLegs!!!

Well, guess I'll be watching a few more Reds games next season pic.twitter.com/jLPpNwqoIQ

I really don’t understand this trade from #Reds perspective. They took on more $, gave up prospects and added 3 walk-yr players who still might not lift them out of 5th place, even if it makes them more competitive. #Dodgers

History HAS TO remember this as "The WKRP to Cincinnati Trade," right?

1/ Still processing this #Reds trade. We get better at MLB level for 2019, mostly because of Wood, and our payroll goes up a bit. It will help attendance. We only get Wood, #Puig and Kemp for one year. And we give up a few prospects, but not our best guys.

2/ But I have to believe we're trading at least one outfielder before Opening Day. We currently have Puig, Kemp, Schebler, Winker and (Senzel?). Will they make a blockbuster deal for an ace? And what does this mean for 2020 and beyond?
