Wood has been on the injured list all season with a lower back injury. The Reds planned for him to start June 27 for Louisville, but he suffered a setback with back pain two days prior to that start while throwing live batting practice.

Wood will pitch in Columbus at 7:15 p.m. Saturday as the Bats play the Columbus Clippers at Huntington Park.

Wood was 9-7 with a 3.68 ERA in 27 starts in 2018 for the Los Angeles Dodgers. He made three relief appearances in the World Series against the Boston Red Sox, allowing two earned runs in 2 1/3 innings.
