Alex Redmond, a starter on the offensive line for the Cincinnati Bengals, reportedly will be sidelined to start the 2019 season as a result of disciplinary action.

ESPN reported Wednesday afternoon Redmond will miss four games for violating the NFL’s policy against performance-enhancing drugs.

The Bengals signed Redmond as a college free agent out of UCLA in 2016.

He spent a year on the practice squad before seeing action in five games in 2017.

Redmond started 15 games last season, but his job was already likely in jeopardy after the team signed free agent John Miller and drafted fellow interior lineman Michael Jordan out of Ohio State.

One of the starting guard spots is also likely to go to Cordy Glenn after last year's starting left tackle told reporters this week he is moving inside this year.
