The Cincinnati Reds busy offseason in free agency continued Thursday.

The Reds are in agreement with free agent relief pitcher Pedro Strop on a one-year deal worth $1.825 million, according to Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic. Strop could earn $3.5 million via performance bonuses. The deal is pending a physical.

Strop, a 34-year-old right hander, spent the last 6 1/2 seasons with the Chicago Cubs. Last season he was 2-5 with a 4.97 ERA and 10 saves. In 2018, he was 6-1 with a 2.26 ERA and 13 saves. Strop had a 2.90 ERA during his tenure with the Cubs.

Strop spent five seasons in the American League with Texas and Baltimore prior to his time in Chicago.

The Reds have signed infielder Mike Moustakas, outfielders Shogo Akiyama and Nick Castellanos and starting pitcher Wade Miley this winter.
