Report: Dayton offers scholarship to forward from Philadelphia

Flyers have three 2020 scholarships open if they don’t fill the two open in 2019

The Dayton Flyers offered a scholarship to Elijah Taylor, a 6-foot-8 forward in the 2020 class, according to a report Saturday by The Miller Report, a scouting service in the Philadelphia area.

Taylor is a senior at Imhotep Institute Charter High School in Philadelphia. He’s a three-star recruit, according to 247Sports.com, and ranks 155th in the 2020 class.

Several other Atlantic 10 Conference schools, including Saint Joseph’s, Rhode Island and Virginia Commonwealth, have also offered Taylor scholarships. Pittsburgh and Penn State offered Taylor scholarships on Sunday, according to the Miller Report.

Dayton filled one 2020 scholarship with the commitment of Lukas Frazier and has has three scholarships open for 2020 if it doesn’t fill either of the remaining two open this season.
