Policelli played AAU basketball with the New York Jayhawks. Dayton freshman Obadiah Toppin also played for that team.

Policelli is one of three players from Long Island Lutheran Dayton is recruiting. In February, it offered scholarships to Tyson Etienne, a 6-foot-1 point guard in the class 2019, and to Andre Curbelo, a 6-0 point guard in the class of 2020.

Dayton has five scholarships open for the 2018-19 season.
