Report: Nebraska transfer and his brother, a 2019 recruit, visit Dayton

Dayton has two scholarships open for 2018-19 season

Jordy Tshimanga, a transfer from Nebraska and his brother Emmanuel Tshimanga, a 2019 recruit, started a visit with the Dayton Flyers on Wednesday, according to a report by ESPN's Adam Finkelstein.

Jordy Tshimanga, a 6-foot-11 center, started 18 games last season for Nebraska, averaging 4.0 points and 4.6 rebounds in 13.6 minutes per game. He announced his decision to transfer in July. He has two seasons of eligibility remaining and will have to sit out the 2018-19 season if he transfers to a Division I school.

As a freshman at Nebraska, Jordy played three minutes against Dayton in the Wooden Legacy, scoring three points.

Emmanuel Tshimanga announced Tuesday he received an offer from Dayton. He’s a 6-10 center who attends Bella Vista College Preparatory School in Scottsdale, Ariz.

The Tshimanga family is originally from the Democratic Republic of the Congo, according to Nebraska’s website.

Dayton has two scholarships open for the 2018-19 season. It has not received a commitment from a member of the 2019 class.
