Ohio State is still in the running for the oldest son of LeBron James according to a report from the Los Angeles Times.

An anonymous source told the paper Bronny James, a 6-foot-3 senior at Sierra Canyon High School in L.A., is down to a final three of Ohio State, USC and Oregon, and he will announce a decision after his season is complete.

The younger James is the No. 36 overall player in the country and the 11th-ranked combo guard in the 247Sports Composite rankings.

His recruitment has remained mostly private, though he made an official visit to Ohio State in September when the Buckeyes opened the football season against Notre Dame.

His father did not attend college, but he has maintained a high-profile association with the school in the two decades since he was a three-time Ohio Mr. Basketball at Akron St. Vincent-St. Mary.

Ohio State has four signees for the class of 2023, including Taison Chatman, a 6-4 combo guard from Minnesota who is ranked No. 10 at his position and 35th overall.

Head coach Chris Holtmann also signed Scottie Middleton of Wichita, Kan., Devin Royal of Pickerington Central and Austin Parks of St. Mary’s (Ohio) Memorial.

Royal is the No. 1 prospect in Ohio, No. 9 power forward and ranked 47th overall while Middleton is the No. 7 small forward prospect and 39th overall.

Parks is the No. 5 player in Ohio, No. 25 center and No. 171 player overall nationally.

The class is ranked sixth in the country.
