Dominiq Penn, a 6-foot junior point guard at Dublin Coffman High School, will take an official visit to UD. He’s the son of Scoonie Penn, the former Buckeyes guard who is now the director of recruiting and player development on Chris Holtmann’s staff at Ohio State. He took an unofficial visit to Ohio State last weekend.
Penn is a three-star prospect who ranks 130th in the 2020 class, according to 247Sports.com. He also has offers from Akron, Kent State, Saint Louis and others.
Dayton has one scholarship open in the 2019 class after the commitment of Moulaye Sissoko on Monday. It has three scholarships opening in 2020 with the departures of Ryan Mikesell, Trey Landers and Jhery Matos, all of whom will be seniors that year.
