Senzel, the No. 2 overall pick in the 2016 draft, could be promoted Friday from Triple-A Louisville, according to a report Tuesday by Jon Heyman, of the MLB Network.
Reds are contemplating promoting top prospect Nick Senzel to the majors and are expected to do so soon, possibly even when the team returns home Friday. Has adjusted nicely to CF. Big-time hitting talent who was No. 2 overall pick in 2016 draft.

Reds manager David Bell said last week there was no timetable for Senzel's promotion. At that time, Senzel had played in two games with the Bats. He has since played in four more games and is hitting .296 (8-for-27). He has started the six games in center field, a position he moved to in spring training, and has one error in 12 chances.
The Reds, who improved to 12-16 with a 5-4 victory Monday against the New York Mets, return home Friday to start a four-game series against the San Francisco Giants.
Scott Schebler, who has started 21 games in center field, went hitless Monday and saw his average fall to .135. It’s the lowest average by any outfielder in baseball who qualifies for the hitting leaders. The Reds rank last in the National League with a .212 team average.
