The Cincinnati Reds could be looking to add some offensive punch to their roster before the trade deadline next month, according to MLB Network’s Jon Morosi.

The Reds -- despite their up-and-down season -- only trail the first-place Chicago Cubs by 5 ½games in the National League Central.

While the Reds have been great on the mound -- their 3.53 ERA ranks third in MLB -- they’ve struggled to score. The Reds rank 25th in runs scored (306) and batting average (.235).

The trade deadline is July 31.
