Tim Beck will leave the Ohio State Buckeyes to become the offensive coordinator at Texas, according to a report Tuesday from HornsDigest.com.

Beck served as co-offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach the last two seasons under Urban Meyer. He joined the staff in January 2015 after Tom Herman left to become the head coach at Houston. Herman is now the head coach at Texas.

Beck talked to reporters in the locker room after Ohio State’s 31-0 loss to Clemson in the Fiesta Bowl on Saturday in Glendale, Ariz., trying to explain the problems that led to the first shutout in Meyer’s career.

“It’s everything,” Beck said. “It’s J.T. missing a throw. It’s protection. It’s the receivers. It’s just inconsistent.”
