The 35-year-old Oklahoma native was a quarterback at Nebraska during his playing days and began his coaching career at Texas A&M.

He spent four seasons with the Miami Dolphins before spending the fall of 2016 as the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at the University of Cincinnati.
Taylor joined the Rams in 2017 as assistant receivers coach for Sean McVay, a Dayton native who has become one of the hottest coaches in the NFL after leading Los Angeles to back-to-back NFC West division championships.

Under Taylor’s tutelage, Rams quarterback Jared Goff finished eighth in the league in passer rating and was selected for his second Pro Bowl.
If the Bengals intend to hire Taylor, they cannot officially do so until his team is done playing.
The Rams are set to take on the Dallas Cowboys on Saturday in the divisional round of the playoffs.
