Toppin, a 6-foot-7 forward, averaged 5.1 points and 3.9 rebounds in 30 games. He’s the fourth player to leave Rhode Island since the end of the season, following freshman forward Mekhi Long, freshman guard Gregory Hammond and sophomore guard Tyrese Martin.

Rhode Island finished 21-9 last season and 13-5 in the A-10, losing twice to Dayton.
Toppin committed to Rhode Island last May, choosing it over Dayton, Virginia Tech, Oklahoma State and St. John's.
