Division IV
Bradford 12, Parkway 1: Bradford advanced to its first state semifinals game in program history with the win. Skipp Miller allowed only two hits and one run from the mound to secure the six-inning victory. Eight of Bradford’s runs were plated with two outs on the board. The Lady Railroaders advance to face the winner of the Hillsdale/Mohawk matchup on June 1.

Alter 3, Fenwick 2: Alter knocked off Fenwick in a hard fought regional finals match to advance to the state tournament. Alter dropped the first two sets, 22-25 and 13-25, but rallied back with sets of 25-22, 25-21 and 15-13 to earn the win. Josh Kabel paved the way with 42 assists and 13 digs, while Andrew Rose tacked on 22 kills, nine digs and two aces. Dan Nye tallied 19 kills and 12 digs as Ethan Ditzel rounded out the effort with nine kills and three blocks.

Boys Division II at Piqua: Dunbar finished first overall with 81 points and six state qualifiers in six different events. Jalani Allen and Nigel Beal qualified for four each. Allen will compete at the state level in the 110m hurdles, 100m dash, 200m dash and 4x400m relay, while Beal will compete in the 110m hurdles, 4x200m relay, 300m hurdles and 4x400m relay. Chaminade Julienne and Shawnee had seven runners each advance to the state tournament.
Girls Division II at Piqua: Bellefontaine took the regional gold with 54 points, ten points over second place finisher Van Wert. Coming in fourth place with 41 points, Dunbar sent eight runners to state tournament. Jocelyn Huffman will be competing in a team-high four events: the 100m dash, 4x200m relay, 4x100m relay and 200m dash. Alter’s Perri Bockrath advanced in three events as a part of the school’s 4x800m relay team and a solo runner in both the 1600m and 3200m events.
