HS Roundup 12/17: Clawson, Peters lead Troy Christian in 2-OT win

Troy Christian got career-high performances from Brady Clawson and Connor Peters, beating Jefferson 75-67 in a double-overtime boys basketball classic on Tuesday.

Clawson led the way with 24 points and Peters tacked on 20 for Troy Christian, which outscored Jefferson 12-1 in the second OT.

Kendall Jones recorded 33 points and D’Shawn Ferguson 18 in a losing effort for Jefferson.

It marked the fifth consecutive victory for Troy Christian, which climbed to 6-1.

Boys Basketball

Alter 53, Purcell Marian 30: Brady Uhl posted 17 points and Jack Smith added 12 to lead Alter.

Beavercreek 54, Springfield 48: Yousef Saleh and Adam Duvall scored 17 points apiece to pace ‘Creek, which pulled away in the fourth quarter. Jalan Minney had 16 points for Springfield and Josh Tolliver added 13.

Catholic Central 57, Southeastern 35: Tyler Galluch chipped in 15 points and Ashton Young added 14 for Catholic Central. Jacob Banion paced Southeastern with 10 points.

Centerville 65, Fairmont 45: Rich Rolf had 17 points, Mo Njie 13 and Drew Thompson 10 to lead Centerville.

Dayton Christian 56, Legacy Christian 35: Ethan Keister totaled 14 points, Devin Dreier added 11 and Brady Woodall 10 points with nine assists for Dayton Christian.

Emmanuel Christian 73, Yellow Springs 31: Fred Shropshire totaled 21 points, Jason Channels 19 and Casey Swank and Justus Channels 14 apiece to pace Emmanuel.

New Miami 60, St. Bernard 48: Deanza Duncan tallied 27 points, Trey Robinette 17 and Jordan Robinette 10 for New Miami.

Russia 54, Botkins 44: Mason Dapore poured in 34 points to lead Russia. Jayden Priddy had 15 points for Botkins.

Sidney 52, Xenia 48: Darren Taborn scored 15 points and Avante Martin and Dominick Durr added 10 apiece to help Sidney improve to 5-0.

Stivers 59, Belmont 46: Allen Latimore had 20 points, Da’juan Allen 12 and Doug Spears 10 to lead Stivers. Shawn Phillips paced Belmont with 12 points.

Trotwood 100, Miamisburg 73: Colin Murphy led Miamisburg with 21 points and Anthony Coppock added 20.

West Liberty-Salem 59, Mechanicsburg 54: Matthew Loffing led the way for West Liberty-Salem with 27 points, helping WLS improve to 3-0 in league play.

Carlisle 71, Middletown Christian 13: Kaylee Lawson led Carlisle with 18 points and Kaylee Dingee and Abby Goodpastor added 17 apiece.

Boys Bowling

Mechanicsburg 2611, Northeastern 2044: Peyton Leeson had a 247 game and Andrew Lynch a 403 series to lead ‘Burg.

Miamisburg 2305, Franklin 1959: Caleb Witt shot a 444 series and Andrew Wheelers added a 405 for Miamisburg.

Middletown 2541, Harrison 211: Matthew Minor finished with games of 256 and 211 and James Prater threw games of 202 and 258 for Middletown.

Girls Bowling

Mechanicsburg 2137, Northeastern 1853: Kennedy Moore bowled a 346 series and Samantha Hoover had a 322 to lead ‘Burg.

Miamisburg 1695, Franklin 1406: Maddie Ginn rolled a 397 series for Miamisburg.

Middletown 1735, Harrison 1560: Emily Cupp averaged 206 on her two games and Rhianne Theiss added a 190 game for Middletown.
