Edgewood beat Harrison 2-1 in extra innings in other baseball action at GABP on Saturday.
Baseball
Anna 11, Milton-Union 0: Wil Luthman tallied four hits, scoring three times and driving in two runs, and Carter Elliott struck out seven in a complete-game shutout to pace Anna. Jared Seigle added two triples with two runs scored and Tyler McClay drove in three runs.
Franklin Monroe 5, Greeneview 2: Mitchell Hines and Zach Hackney each had a doubled and Kristopher Phillips went 2-for-3 in a losing effort for Greeneview.
Kenton Ridge 8, Piqua 0: Matt Wichael, Luke Haerr and Alex Ward combined on a five-hit shutout to help Kenton Ridge win an eighth consecutive game. Chase Marrs led the way at the plate going 4-for-5 with a double.
Miamisburg 17, Middletown 3: Dylan Wudke collected four hits, Joey Yerkins had a run-scoring double and Cam Bryant pitched four shutout innings to earn the win for ‘Burg.
Tecumseh 2, Tippecanoe 1: Blais Hale doubled and scored a run, Gavin Wasson added a double and Nick Cassell went 2-for-3 to lead Tecumseh at the plate. Tyler Dysinger picked up the win in a strong start and Wasson closed the game out with his third save.
Tri-County North 4, Russia 0: Tyler Cross doubled and drove in a run, Casey Whipp plated a pair of runs and Matthew O’Dell picked up the win and Wyatt Hutchins the save for TCN.
Softball
Badin 10, St. Ursula 2: Emma Kent picked up the win in the circle along with tripling twice and plating a pair of runs to help her cause. Caitlyn Smith, Sydney Rawlings and Ashley McKinney added one RBI apiece.
Ben Logan 14, Elida 2: Grace Deardurff recorded 12 strikeouts in picking up the win, Jenn Naragon and Haley Wilson each doubled and drove in two runs and LeAnn Regula added three hits for Ben Logan.
Carlisle 7, Badin 6: Kaylee Lawson paced Carlisle, going 4-for-4 at the plate with a pair of RBI. Erin Ridenger added three hits and a double. Caitlyn Smith doubled and drove in three for Badin.
Coldwater 12, Miller City 0: Maddy Stienke tossed a five-hit shutout, striking out nine to lead Coldwater. Molly Stienke and Rachel Klosterman each had a double in Coldwater’s five-run second inning.
Eaton 10, Northmont 2: Becca Mowen tallied three hits and Annika Gels struck out five while picking up her second win of the day to help Eaton earn a doubleheader sweep versus Northmont. Caroline Stanaway knocked out a home run for Northmont. Eaton won the first game 10-0.
Fort Loramie 11, Parkway 9: Clara Gephart put Fort Loramie on the board with a two-run homer, her first of the season, and Desiree Fogt added a three-run homer. Shaelyn Thomas homered for Parkway.
Kenton Ridge 6, Centerville 5: Kelcie Schnizler finished 3-for-3 with a double and Lexee Trainer and Aubrie Atkins each added two hits apiece to pace Kenton Ridge. Anna Samborsky and Lillian Gibbons each went 2-for-4 for Centerville.
Girls Lacrosse
Miamisburg 14, Christian Academy of Louisville: Claire Schoenfelt scored twice and Makenzie Lalich and Amanda Dey added a goal apiece to help ‘Burg put the game away.
Miamisburg 8, CHCA 7: Emma Wyss tallied five goals with two assists and Isabella Whitt added two goals with three assists for ‘Burg, which scored eight goals on eight assists.
Boys Volleyball
Loveland Quad Tournament: Joey Stange and Drew Vallandingham each had four kills in Edgewood’s loss to Mason, Eyan Berlepsch scored 10 assists in a loss to Sycamore and Griffin Smith finished with two aces and five kills in a loss to Loveland.
