HS Roundup 4/19: Harrison homers in Lebanon baseball win

Lebanon scored 11 unanswered runs after falling behind 1-0 in the first inning, beating host Wayne 11-1 in baseball on Thursday.

Zach Weber posted two hits and three RBI along with picking up the win on the mound. Austin Harrison blasted a home run and Nate Coffey had two hits.

Lebanon improved to 10-4; Wayne fell to 4-10.

Baseball

Anna 11, Botkins 1: Cole Maurer recorded three hits, scored a pair of runs, drove in five RBI and struck out 10 on the mound to pace Anna. Kyle Evans added four hits with three runs scored and Jarred Seigle had two RBI.

Arcanum 10, Tri-Village 0: Mitch Wogomon was 2-for-3 with two RBI, Michael Fecker had two hits with one RBI and Brody Williams recorded the win for Arcanum.

Centerville 10, Northmont 0: Morgan Colopy put Centerville on the board in the first inning with a run-scoring single and Ryan Stahl finished 3-for-4 at the plate. Jared Lieberman scattered four hits over five innings, striking out seven to pick up the win.

Coldwater 3, Fort Recovery 0: Coldwater left runners on all three bases with no outs in a game called in the top of the sixth inning due to weather.

Fairfield 6, Oak Hills 0: Colin Singler doubled and drove in two, Kemper Murray doubled and scored once and Evan Verquer threw seven innings of two-hit shutout ball for Fairfield.

Kenton Ridge 7, Indian Lake 3: Garrett Kelly and Justin Maurer each had two RBI and Kenton Ridge broke a 3-3 tie with four runs in the top of the sixth inning. Matt Tateman picked up the win in relief. Matthew Risner plated a pair of runs to lead Indian Lake.

Minster 9, New Bremen 1: Jack Olberding doubled, scored twice and recorded four RBI out of the leadoff spot to pace Minster. Jack Heitbrink added a double with two RBI and Adam Ketner also drove in two. Aaron Vonderhaar drove in the lone run for New Bremen.

National Trail 14, Covington 0: Cody Webb recorded the third perfect game in National Trail history to lead the way. Cameron Harrison had three hits with a triple and two RBI and Peyton Lane blasted a home run.

Springboro 8, Fairmont 7: ‘Boro rallied from an early five-run deficit, scoring the winning run in walk-off fashion. Jake D’Amico tallied three hits out of the leadoff spot, Logan Zier doubled and drove in three runs and Brock Bernard was 2-for-3 with two RBI.

St. Henry 11, New Knoxville 0: Marc Siefring struck out nine over four shutout innings to pick up the win. Andrew Lange tallied two hits with two runs scored and Rylee Deitsch was 1-for-1 with a sac-fly, two runs scored and three stolen bases.

Tri-County North 14, Bethel 0: Phillip Lockwood, Clayton Finney and Collin Whipp each doubled and drove in two runs to lead TCN at the plate. Finney also scored twice.

West Liberty-Salem 11, Greeneview 3: Trevor Woodruff recorded three hits with two runs scored and three RBI and Nick Burden went 2-for-4 with two RBI to lead WLS. Zack Glock threw a complete game to earn the win.

Softball

Dayton Christian 22, Yellow Springs 2: Madison Pullen put up two home runs, Emma Rohrer recorded four RBI and Gracie Taylor tallied two triples to lead Dayton Christian.

Fort Loramie 10, Fairlawn 0: Aleah Frilling pitched a two-hit shutout, striking out eight to lead Fort Loramie in the circle. Desiree Fogt homered and drove in two runs and Clara Gephart had a double with two RBI.

Monroe 6, Preble Shawnee 0: Alyssa Wagner posted a school record 19 strikeouts, improving her own record to 11-0 and moving Monroe to 11-1 overall and 7-0 in conference play. Bri Rose added a home run and Sam Ross doubled. Jenna Lovely tallied the lone hit for Preble Shawnee.

National Trail 6, Covington 1: Skyler Ward knocked her first career home run and Kayleigh Minner, Makena Laird and Savanna Abner each went 2-for-2 with one RBI to pace National Trail.

Northmont 5, Centerville 4: Northmont won in walk-off fashion after scoring in the eighth inning. Carmynn Bonner and Sierra Caskey each had a pair of hits and Hannah Seagraves picked up the win in relief. ___ Schutter doubled for Centerville.

Tecumseh 17, Miami East 6: Nina Smith went 4-for-4 with two doubles and three RBI, Hannah Strouse had a double and a triple and Zoe Dean added two doubles with two RBI to lead Tecumseh.

West Liberty-Salem 11, Greeneview 1: Camrin Rice homered and drove in two, Kelsey Day tripled twice to bring in three and Julia Ames had three hits with two RBI for WLS. Alexa Simpson went 2-for-3 for Greeneview.

Boys Tennis

Bellbrook 5, Oakwood 0: Zach Schultz, Cole McCrae and Josh Grismer swept the singles matches for Bellbrook.

Lakota East 5, Middletown 0: Isaac Ahlborn and Alex and Albert Cho swept the singles matches to lead Lakota East.

Tecumseh 5, London 0: Jacob Lewis and Parker Randenburg each won with scores of 6-0, 6-0 to lead Tecumseh.
