HS Roundup 4/30: Kenton Ridge rallies from double-digit deficit

Kenton Ridge rallied from a ten run deficit to beat Tecumseh 17-14 in baseball on Monday.

Calvin Dibert homered to bring in the tying run and Bailey Armentrout added an in-the-park homer to lead KR, which plated 16 unanswered runs to take the lead.

Gavin Wasson doubled and drove in two and Davey Berner doubled twice for Tecumseh.

Baseball

Springboro 3, Lebanon 0: Austin Fawley and Luke Dongahy combined on the shutout for Springboro, with Fawley getting the win and Dongahy earning the save. Spencer Virtue and Logan Zier each drove in a run. Bo Wilson struck out 10 for Lebanon.

Fairfield 10, Sycamore 8: J.D. Scranton doubled twice and drove in three runs along with picking up the save to pace Fairfield. Tyler Caudill added three hits and Noah Bauman had three runs.

Northwestern 8, Ben Logan 5: Northwestern rallied with three runs in the eighth inning. Gage Voorhees struck out 13 and Dane Sowards earned the save.

Greeneview 6, Greenon 4: Tommy Rawlins struck out seven in a complete game and Braydan Dobney and Jon Brakeall had two hits apiece for Greeneview.

Belmont 11, Meadowdale 0: Joey Young struck out 13 to pace Belmont in a complete game one-hit shutout.

Ross 9, Talawanda 1: Eric Guickiean and Logan Fuller each doubled and drove in three runs to lead Ross. Paul Schroeder picked up the win on the mound, striking out eight in a complete game.

Tri-Village 12, Ansonia 1: Christian Ricker paced Tri-Village with a pair of doubles, four stolen bases and a RBI. Camren Munchel added three RBI and Cody Eyer scored three runs.

Russia 4, Anna 3: Russia rallied with three runs in the top of the seventh to record the win.

New Bremen 15, Mississinawa Valley 1: Luke Vonderhaar went yard twice, tallying six RBI for New Bremen.

Coldwater 7, St. Marys Memorial 1: Coldwater improved to 15-3 with the victory.

Softball

Fairfield 15, Colerain 1: Lindsey Mitchell doubled and drove in four and Rhiana Hubbard and Natalie Elliott added two RBI apiece for Fairfield.

Badin 14, Purcell Marian 0: Nicole Rawlings and Emma Kent combined on the shutout and Maddie Curtner went 3-for-3 with a double and two RBI to lead Badin.

McAuley 8, Ross 5: Haley Grau had two hits and two RBI and Ashley Shelton added two hits with one RBI for Ross in a losing effort.

Monroe 12, Oakwood 0: Alyssa Wagner tallied 11 strikeouts to improve to 11-1 in the first game of a doubleheader.

Monroe 14, Oakwood 0: Sam Schwab had four hits and a home run and Mikayla Decker and Sam Ross each went 2-for-4 with a RBI to pace Monroe.

Eaton 11, Franklin 4: Becca Mowen had a grand slam and Annika Gels added a double and a home run to lead Eaton.

Kenton Ridge 11, Tecumseh 1: Jade Espinosa tripled twice and tallied six RBI and Carly Turner struck out ten in the win for Kenton Ridge.

Ben Logan 2, Northwestern 0: Grace Deardurff tripled and plated a pair of runs to help her cause on the mound for Ben Logan.

Greenon 12, Greeneview 6: Bailey Romine earned the win for Greenon. Catie Garaway had a double and a triple for Greeneview.

West Liberty-Salem 8, Northeastern 1: Kelsey Day homered, tripled, drove in three and also recorded the win to pace WLS.

Mechanicsburg 6, Triad 5: Audrey Ayars homered and Mallory Blakeman drove in two for Mechanicsburg.

Arcanum 14, Bethel 2: Kaylee Wilcox had three hits, including a home run, to lead Arcanum.

Franklin Monroe 4, National Trail 3: National Trail scored twice in the sixth inning but couldn’t push across the tying run.

Fort Loramie 14, Versailles 6: Clara Gephart smacked a home run for Fort Loramie.

Coldwater 2, St. Marys Memorial 1: Molly Steinke singled in the game-winning run in the top of the sixth inning.

Boys Tennis

Middletown 3, Carlisle 2: Middletown swept the singles matches to earn the win.

Tecumseh 4, Jonathan Alder 1: Tecumseh improved to 16-0 with the victory.

Northeastern 5, West Jefferson 0: Northeastern won to move to 11-0.

Lima Shawnee 3, Lehman Catholic 2: Lehman won both doubles matches in the loss.

WLS Tri-Meet: Host West Liberty-Salem edged Urbana and Triad in a tri-meet.
