HS Roundup 2/4: Robinette passes career milestone in New Miami win

Jordan Robinette passed a major milestone in leading New Miami boys basketball in a 71-47 win versus Lockland on Tuesday.

Robinette tallied 25 points, reaching the 1,000 point mark for his career.

Elijah Faulkner added a double-double with 16 points and 15 rebounds and Trey Robinette tacked on 13 points.

It marked the fifth consecutive win for New Miami, which moved to 15-4 overall and 7-1 in the Miami Valley Conference with a huge matchup at the MVC Gray division leader Cin. Country Day on Friday.

Boys Basketball

Belmont 69, Stivers 68: Antaune Allen recorded 16 points and Estes 13 for Belmont. DaJuan Allen led Stivers with 21 points.

Cin. Christian 50, Summit Country Day 47: Cameron Rogers and Logan Woods each scored 14 points to pace Cin. Christian.

Dayton Christian 51, Legacy Christian 30: Devin Dreier turned in 14 points and Dayton Christian pulled away with a 26-13 run in the second half.

Fort Loramie 47, Bethel 31: Grant Albers had three consecutive baskets while spurring a 20-7 run in the second quarter for Fort Loramie. Albers finished with 14 points.

Greenon 58, Catholic Central 44: Cade Rice netted 16 points and Clayton Minteer 14 for Greenon. Tyler Galluch chipped in 15 points for Catholic Central.

LaSalle 51, Chaminade Julienne 38: Brandon Gibson scored 13 points in a losing effort for Chaminade Julienne.

Madison 52, Preble Shawnee 42: Grant Whisman put up 13 points, Jake Edwards tacked on 12 and Jake Munafo 11 for Madison. Bryce Singleton paced Preble Shawnee with 15 points.

Madison Plains 55, Greeneview 53: Rhett Burtch had 17 points and Gabe Caudill and Cole Allen added 14 apiece in the loss for Greeneview.

Mississinawa Valley 59, Tri-County North 42: Blake Scholl led four players in double-digit scoring for MV with 16 points. Trey Godfrey added 12 and Max Dirmeyer 11.

National Trail 64, Newton 35: Zach Woodall totaled 16 points, Michael Leaf added 12 and National Trail drilled 10 three-point baskets to remain unbeaten in the Cross County Conference with a key matchup looming against Mississinawa Valley on Friday.

Springboro 67, Miamisburg 58: ‘Boro had a 12-point swing in the final quarter to hold off a Miamisburg rally effort. Anthony Coppock led ‘Burg with 16 points.

Triad 56, Northeastern 52: Ayden Sanford scored 16 points, Batai Lease added 14 and Triad picked up its first win in conference play. Cole Allen and Jake Nichols paced Northeastern with 14 points apiece.

Troy Christian 63, Jefferson 32: Lucas Day and Ben Major chipped in 16 points apiece for Troy Christian. Janson Kincer led Jefferson with 17 points.

West Liberty-Salem 54, West Jefferson 53, OT: Holden Nease had 15 points, Eli McGill 11 and Matthew Loffing and Nick Burden 10 apiece to pace WLS.

Girls Basketball

New Bremen 53, Spencerville 48: Madison Cordonnier netted 11 of her 19 points in the final quarter to help New Bremen hold off a Spencerville rally.

New Knoxville 48, Russia 41: Morgan Leffel tallied 16 points, Ellie Gabel 14 and Jacklyn Leffel 10 for New Knoxville.

Wapakoneta 43, Coldwater 42: Lauren Gilliland recorded 12 points and Annelise Harlamert and Riley Rismiller added 11 apiece in a losing effort for Coldwater.

Carroll 2671, Purcell Marian 1976: Michael Goubeaux helped Carroll improve to 13-1 with a 423 series.

Middletown 2555, Lakota West 2397: Austin Smith led Middletown with a 403 series and Jacob Cowgill added a 224 game.

Northmont 2358, Miamisburg 2287: Easton Berger rolled a 456 series and Justin Grice a 430 for Miamisburg.
