HS Roundup 8/25: Tippecanoe girls win Schroeder Invitational

Tippecanoe finished first out of eight teams at the Schroeder Invitational in girls tennis action on Saturday.

Dakota Schroeder and the doubles duo of Claire Wint/Annie Livesay had first-place finishes. Runner-ups for Tipp were Mira Patel and the doubles team of Camillah Jones/Rainey Messigner.

Butler, Troy, Milton-Union, Sidney, Eaton, Brookville and Valley View also competed in the event.

Boys Soccer

Alter 4, Fairmont 2: Aiden Petrello scored twice and Dominic Ruffolo tacked on a goal and an assist for Alter. Hunter Haas and Nash Infanto each had a score for Fairmont.

Carroll 2, Indian Hill 0: Ryan Walsh and Sean Dosedel scored a goal apiece and keeper Kade Greer capped off the shutout for Carroll.

Greeneview 5, Springfield Shawnee 0: Gavin Anderson put Greeneview on the board with a goal.

Kenton Ridge 2, Springfield 1: Joshua Maurer and Ahmed Salhieh each netted a goal for KR. Cameron Elliott scored for Springfield.

Northwestern 5, Catholic Central 1: Dalton McGill poured in four goals for Northwestern.

Girls Soccer

Anna 6, Miami Valley 0: Taylor Noll posted 3 goals, Taylor Kauffmann added 2 and keeper Savanna Hostetler nailed down the shutout for Anna.

Chaminade Julienne 2, Oakwood 0: Morgan McDaniel and Allie Bardine each knocked in a goal to lead CJ.

Greeneview 9, Franklin Monroe 0: Josie Faris and Faith Rutherford each scored three goals for Greeneview.

St. Marys 3, Coldwater 1: Janelle Halterman hit in the lone score for Coldwater.

Boys Golf

Harrison 345, Bellbrook 359: Ryan Wehner finished second with an 89 for Bellbrook in an 18-hole match.

Girls Golf

Lady Viking Invitational: Mailiis Simovart shot a career-best 78 to pick up medalist honors and lead Ben Logan to a win at the tournament. Teammate Sydney Wesson finished third with an 80.

Girls Volleyball

Colerain 3, Cin. Christian 0: Rylee McWhinnie and Caila Nagel had six digs apiece in a losing effort for CC.

Dayton Christian 3, Belmont 0: DC picked up a second consecutive straight-set victory.

Monroe 3, Dixie 0: Sydney Creamer picked up 6 kills and 6 blocks in a losing effort for Dixie.

New Knoxville 3, Botkins 0: Tasia Lauth tallied 11 kills and Taylor Doty 11 digs for New Knoxville.

Springboro 3, Fenwick 0: Rachel Gillum and Karoline Shellhause racked up four blocks apiece and Andrea Grimes had 18 digs for ‘Boro.

Tecumseh 2, Carroll 0: Ava Ehlinger and Jill Williams posted 5 kills apiece to lead Tecumseh to a third place finish at the Miamisburg Invitational.

Urbana 3, Northeastern 2: Maddy Johnson tallied 12 kills with 5 aces and Mackenzie Bean tacked on 11 kills with 14 digs to pace Urbana.
