Scoochie Smith headed back to Europe for 2020-21 season

Former Dayton Flyers point guard Scoochie Smith will take his talents to Belgrade, Serbia, next season.

Smith will play for KK Mega Bemax, the team announced Thursday. The team plays in the Adriatic Basketball Association

Smith played for Peristeri in Greece last season before returning to the United States to play in the NBA G League, where he averaged 7.2 points in 11 games with the Fort Wayne Mad Ants.

Smith started his pro career in Cairns, Australia, in 2017, and then played in the G League with the Canton Charge at the end of the 2017-18 season.

After playing for the Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA Summer League in 2018, he returned to their G League team in Canton and played there for the entire 2018-19 season. He averaged 12.2 points, 6.5 assists and 4.5 rebounds last season in 50 games. He started 46 games.
