One of the area’s top multi-sport athletes is narrowing his focus for the next level.

Sidney junior Andre Gordon announced Tuesday he will no longer consider playing football in college.

The Yellow Jackets guard is going to focus on basketball.

Ohio State is among the schools to have shown interest in the 6-foot-2 guard for both football and basketball. He has made multiple unofficial visits to Columbus, including for the Penn State football game last fall and a basketball win over Iowa in February.

His basketball offers include Wright State, Akron, Cleveland State and Toledo according to the Sidney Daily News.
