Springfield High School graduate and former Wisconsin Badgers wide receiver Danny Davis III signed as an undrafted free agent with the Green Bay Packers on Saturday.

Davis shared a photo of himself wearing a Packers hat on Twitter on Sunday.

In five seasons at Wisconsin, Davis caught 131 passes for 1,642 yards and 14 touchdowns. He also ran the ball 14 times for 245 yards and scored two touchdowns.

Davis graduated from Springfield in 2017. After injuries limited him to three catches in two games in the 2020 season, he announced in February 2021 he would return for a fifth season at Wisconsin. He caught 32 passes for 478 yards last season and scored two touchdowns.

Davis participated in Wisconsin’s Pro Day in March and ran the 40-yard dash in 4.5 seconds.
