State’s top recruit in Class of 2020 commits to Ohio State Buckeyes

Ohio’s top recruit in the class of 2020 is staying home.

St. Xavier junior offensive tackle Paris Johnson Jr., a five-star recruit, verbally committed to the Ohio State Buckeyes on Thursday night.

Johnson, a 6-foot-7, 285-pound who ranks No. 1 in the state and No. 8 in the nation according to the 247Sports composite ratings, had offers from every big-time program across the country.

St. Xavier opens the season Aug. 24 at Lakota West.
