Super Bowl LIV: Miami University legend gets a ring

Chalk another championship up for the Cradle of Coaches.

Miami University legend Deland McCullough won the Super Bowl as running backs coach fo the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday night.

In his second season with the Chiefs, McCullough previously coached running backs at USC for a season and Indiana for six.

The 1996 Miami graduate left Oxford as the MAC’s all-time leading rusher.

After time with the Bengals and Eagles in the NFL, McCullough also played in the CFL and the original XFL before becoming a high school football coach and administrator in Cincinnati.

His oldest son, Deland II, was a freshman defensive back for the 2019 MAC champion RedHawks.
