Korn gets a day with the cup thanks to his work as Washington Capitals director of goaltending last season.
He spent eight seasons coaching Miami goalies in the 1980s, including helping to develop the first Miami player to reach the NHL, Alain Chevrier.
Korn is not the only Red and White connection to the Caps.
Washington radio announcer John Walton is a Miami graduate who served as sports director of Miami’s student radio.
According to the school, Walton is also expected to be part of Cup Day in Oxford.
