Trotwood-Madison graduate Amari Davis announced his commitment to the Missouri Tigers on Thursday, one day after receiving a scholarship offer from the school.

Davis, a 6-foot-3 guard, entered the transfer portal on Feb. 26. Green Bay lost to Fort Wayne in the first round of the Horizon League tournament one day earlier, finishing 8-17 in coach Will Ryan’s first season.

Davis averaged 15.9 points in the 2019-20 season and was named the Horizon League Freshman of the Year. He averaged 17.2 points as a sophomore and was named to the All-Horizon League second team.

Green Bay finished 25-33 in the last two seasons, and Davis scored 955 points in that stretch. In an ESPN ranking of the top 30 transfers available earlier this month, Jeff Borzello ranked Davis 22nd. Davis still has three seasons of eligibility remaining because the NCAA did not count this season against anyone’s eligibility

Davis will join a Missouri program that has made the NCAA tournament twice in coach Cuonzo Martin’s first four seasons. It lost 72-68 to Oklahoma in the first round Saturday.
