The rosters for the event were announced Monday. The Portsmouth Invitational gives college seniors a chance to play three games in four days in front of scouts from every NBA team. It was established in 1953. There will be 64 players, divided into eight teams, in the event.
Smith, a first-team All-Atlantic 10 selection, will play on a team that includes Richmond’s T.J. Cline, the A-10 Player of the Year. Cooke, an A-10 second-team selection, will play on a team that includes Ohio State forward Marc Loving.
