Former Dayton Flyers guards Jalen Crutcher and Ibi Watson have been busy this summer working out for NBA teams.

Although Crutcher and Watson are unlikely to hear their names called during the NBA Draft on Thursday — they’re not listed among the top-100 prospects in lists compiled by The Athletic and ESPN — they could sign as free agents after the draft and compete for roster spots in the NBA Summer League and in preseason practices.

According to a Twitter post by the official Dayton basketball account, by the time of the draft, Crutcher will have participated in pre-draft workouts with 10 teams: the Chicago Bulls; Minnesota Timberwolves; Toronto Raptors; Denver Nuggets; Indiana Pacers; Dallas Mavericks; Utah Jazz; Detroit Pistons; Houston Rockets; and Charlotte Hornets.

The Pacers shared an interview with Crutcher after his workout on July 16.

“I think it went really well,” Crutcher said. “We had a great group, great energy. Everybody was competing. I’m just trying to show teams my ability to shoot the ball and get players open shots and my IQ of the game.”

According to UD, Watson has worked out for or plans to work out for the following teams: the Golden State Warriors; Atlanta Hawks; Detroit Pistons; and Nuggets.
