Dayton Flyers women’s basketball coach Tamika Williams-Jeter announced the addition of Julie Bolden, who worked as a video coordinator at Hofstra last season, to her staff as an assistant to the head coach on Tuesday.

Bolden joins assistant coaches Bryce Agler and George Washington, who were hired earlier this month. She worked as a graduate manager at Ohio State during the 2020-21 season. Jeter-Williams was on head coach Kevin McGuff’s staff at the same time.

“I am incredibly grateful to be a part of the Dayton program,” Bolden said in a press release. “Coach Meek has always pushed me to develop not only with basketball, but as a person off the court. She brings a passion and enthusiasm wherever she goes and is always invested in what is best for those around her. I cannot wait to work with this group and be a part of the Dayton community.”

Bolden is a 2020 graduate of the University of Cincinnati. She previously worked as a volunteer girls basketball coach at her alma mater, Colerain High School. Her dad Dan Bolden coaches at Lakota West, where his brother Tom is the head coach.

“Julie, of all trades, was a graduate assistant for us at Ohio State under Kevin McGuff and did a tremendous job,” Williams-Jeter said in a press release. “I challenged her do to do some scouts and take a look at them, to do graphics and film, game prep, recruiting prep, and just, ‘Hey Julie, I need this done,’ type of stuff. She just did it all. She’s going to be a huge benefit for us coming into her position because she can pretty much help out with whatever we need and in whatever space. She wants to be a coach so understanding how all this flows is going to be very important to her. We got a gem when we got Julie.”
