Members of the local police and fire departments and workers from local hospitals were honored on the court during a ceremony.

Dayton football player Ryan Culhane, a SAAC executive board member, led the effort to raise money to benefit the families of victims wounded and killed in the Oregon District mass shooting and those impacted by tornadoes in the Dayton area in May. Money was raised through the sale of "Dayton Strong" T-shirts.

Culhane was named the November PlayMaker of the Month by the Institute for Sport and Social Justice.
