Meyer was placed on paid administrative leave after a report he knew of allegations then-assistant coach Zach Smith abused his wife, Courtney. Zach Smith ultimately was fired July 23 and Meyer placed on adminstrative leave on Aug. 1.
Meyer will miss home games vs. Oregon State on Sept. 1 and Rutgers on Sept. 8 and a neutral site game vs. TCU in Dallas on Sept. 15.
Ohio State Athletic Director Gene Smith also will serve a suspension from Aug. 31-Sept. 16.

Urban Meyer is still a Buckeye. That's what matters.

The decision is what it is. Agree with it or not, it's what happened. Now let's get behind our boys and Coach Ryan Day!
As some have pointed out to me tonight --->Urban Meyer suspended for 3 games for mishandling domestic abuse reporting and the NCAA has done things like suspend Todd Gurley for 4 games in 2014 for selling autographs & AJ Green 4 games for selling a jersey

The pain on Urban's face when asked if he agreed with the suspension was palatable. This happened 2x during the presser. You can tell he wanted to respond, "HELL NO!" But he gritted his teeth and took it.

Most stunning revelation from press conference was that in 2015, when Gene Smith and Urban Meyer discussed abuse allegation against Zach Smith, Urban didn't tell Gene about similar 2009 allegation against Zach Smith.

So Urban Meyer lied, wasn’t truthful or withheld vital information multiple times about the same subject but never willfully or purposefully did it? That’s what I’m supposed to believe. Nice try Ohio State

Urban Meyer, a college football coach, was expected to do more than an entire police department, and athletic director, and a university president. Mind boggling

Based on the committee's findings, it would seem Ohio State had enough evidence to fire Urban Meyer and Gene Smith with cause.

Urban Meyer probably should’ve prepared a little better for a possible question about what message he’d like to send to Courtney Smith. Because “I’m sorry we’re in this situation” is a pretty lousy message for Courtney Smith.

Urban Meyer knew about the allegations against Zack Smith & didn't report it. He failed at his job. He failed to set an example for embracing character over winning a game. Worst of all, OSU failed. They put the glory of Saturdays over showing morality for a woman who was beaten. pic.twitter.com/B4Zn3NqbMp
