Following the United States Women's National Team's win over Japan for their first world cup in 16 years, forward Abby Wambach ran off the field to embrace her wife, making for quite the iconic photo.

The big win came less than ten days after the historic Supreme Court ruling making same-sex marriage legal in all 50 states, and for many, the moment between the two was the perfect #LoveWins tribute:

Wambach married fellow professional soccer player Sarah Huffman in October 2013, who played for the Portland Thorns before retiring in 2014. Wambach has played in the World Cup four times, and is the highest all-time scorer for the USWNT.
