WATCH: Bengals running back throws TD pass

The Cincinnati Bengals first touchdown against the Los Angeles Rams in Super Bowl LVI came on a trick play.

Running back Joe Mixon took a pitch from Joe Burrow and then tossed a 6-yard TD pass to wide receiver Tee Higgins in the second quarter.

The score trimmed the Rams’ lead to 13-10.

Mixon is the first running back to throw a TD pass in the Super Bowl since Rams RB Lawrence McCutcheon tossed a 24-yard score to Ron Smith in Super Bowl XIV on Jan. 20, 1980.
