The Cincinnati Reds had a special visitor Sunday as they lost another game to the Cardinals: David Letterman.

The eccentric, reclusive former late-night talk show host spoke for a couple of minutes about his retirement, including the role played by Michelob and blocks of cheese.

He also reminisced about the good ol’ days listening to Al Michaels and Joe Nuxhall on the radio.

While Fox Sports Ohio was talking to Letterman, some interesting things apparently happened on the field, but I guess we’ll never know.
