Darius Quisenberry, a Wayne High School graduate playing at Fordham University, won the Atlantic 10 Conference Player of the Week award Monday. He’s the first Fordham player to win the award since 2017.

Quisenberry, a 6-foot-1 guard, averaged 29.5 points and 6.0 assists in two games last week. He now leads the conference in scoring with 17.9 points per game.

Quisenberry had 23 points in an 83-70 loss to Richmond on Tuesday. He scored a career-high 36 points — the most scored by an A-10 player this season and the most by a Fordham player since 1990 — and made 6 of 13 3-pointers in a 69-66 loss to Fordham on Saturday.

Quisenberry played his first three seasons at Youngstown State, scoring 1,213 points. He entered the transfer portal on March 11, 2021, and committed to Fordham

Fordham (9-8, 2-3) plays Dayton (12-7, 4-2) at 7 p.m. Tuesday at UD Arena.
