About Wright State: Wampler topped the 1,000-point plateau during the Gulf Coast Showcase, having scored 408 points at Drake and 646 since joining Wright State. … The Raiders need sophomore guard Skyelar Potter, the team's most athletic player, to return to his old form. After getting 19 points in 21 minutes in the opener against Central State, he scored just 28 over the next six games and didn't play against Miami on Wednesday. … Wright State is off to a strong start on offense, ranking 81st among 353 Division-I teams in both field-goal percentage at 46.3 and offensive efficiency at 1.027 points per possession. (Dayton is first nationally in the latter category at 1.205.) The Raiders also are faring well on the boards with a plus-6.3 rebound margin per game, which is tied for 55th.

About Western Kentucky: The Hilltoppers are coming off a 71-54 loss at second-ranked Louisville. They trailed 9-0 and were down, 37-23, at halftime. But they fought back to get within nine points in the second half before the Cardinals pulled away. … They beat Fordhtam and Illinois State at the Virgin Islands Paradise Jam but lost to Bowling Green. … They received 13 of 14 first-place votes in the Conference-USA preseason coaches poll. … They reached the league tourney finals last year before falling to Old Dominion. … Hollingsworth, who averaged 14.4 points last season, made the preseason all-league team. … Raider fans will be familiar with Justice, who was a second-team All-Horizon League pick for IUPUI last year before becoming a grad transfer at WKU.
