Wright State assistant men’s basketball coach earns promotion

Wright State promoted men’s basketball assistant coach Clint Sargent to associate head coach on Tuesday.

Sargent has worked on head coach Scott Nagy’s staff at South Dakota State and Wright State since the 2013-14 season.

“Clint has made a huge impact on my staff over the last five seasons at Wright State,” Nagy said in a press release. “He is an integral part in all facets of the program, especially in the recruiting and skill development. He has worked extremely hard and deserves a lot of credit.”

Sargent is a 2011 South Dakota State graduate who scored 1,505 points in his college career. He played two seasons in Germany before getting into coaching.

“I am very thankful to Coach Nagy for his continued trust here at Wright State,” Sargent said in a press release. “Our players, staff, and administrators have worked hard to build a winning culture and I look forward to serving them in the years to come.”
