Wright State pulled away to a 38-19 halftime lead and blasted Division II Urbana, 88-51, on Wednesday at the Nutter Center.

Redshirt freshman center Grant Basile had 19 points, six rebounds and two blocks off the bench, while senior point guard Cole Gentry had 13 points and junior center Loudon Love 12 for the 4-1 Raiders.

Wright State had three turnovers, shot 2 of 7 from the field and led only 5-4 at the first media timeout at 15:36.

Coach Scott Nagy pulled three starters in the first three minutes, and that seemed to work.

The Raiders went on a 21-2 run to take a 32-11 lead at 4:17 of the first half. Love scored six straight points in one flurry on two free throws and a pair of buckets.

Urbana (1-4), was coming off a 79-72 loss at Central State on Tuesday.
